Founded in 1900, the Marius Fabre soap factory has perpetuated for four family generations the traditional manufacture of real Marseille soap cooked in a cauldron.
Demand the logo registered by the Union des Professionnels du Savon de Marseille of which the savonnerie Marius Fabre is one of the founding members. This logo guarantees you an authentic Marseille soap made according to three essential criteria:
1. A composition: vegetable oils exclusively, without perfume, without coloring, without preservatives.
2. A manufacturing process: cooking in a cauldron, according to a specific saponification process, called "Marseille process", comprising 5 steps. Cauldron manufacturing lasts from a week to 10 days.
3. A geographical origin: made in the historic soap-making basin of Marseille: the Marseille region, corresponding today to the department of Bouches-du-Rhône (13).

Ingredients (INCI): sodium olivate, sodium cocoate, aqua, glycerin*, sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide.

*The glycerin contained in Marseille soap is not added glycerin unlike so-called "glycerine" soaps. It is indeed the glycerin obtained naturally during saponification. After 10 to 12 days of cooking and many rinses, only a tiny part remains. The ingredient "glycerin" is nevertheless mentioned in the list of ingredients, because traces of it remain. The new cosmetic regulations require that any ingredient, even in trace form, be indicated in the list of ingredients.
